TGIF

A full week back at work after vacation is rough! Glad its the weekend and happy to go to yoga tomorrow as its been a few weeks now and I need it more then ever!

Picked up my first few baby outfits and got the softest baby blanket from mom this week, since we left right after we found out its a boy and the shopping in Europe was a let down now I can be drawn to the little blue outfits. Set up a registry at potterbarn kids and babys r us; going to do a sailboat theme nursery.

It was bound to happen but pregnancy is finally catching up to me. I think we went on vaca just in time. I finally 'poped' aka; looking more pregnant then just fat. Feeling the lower belly pressure (aka pressure on my bladder) and stretching in that general area. Henry is defiantly starting to take up space and I find myself running out of breath really easily these days. Next week starts month 6 and another doctors appointment, this month is the diabetes test so I hope that comes back fine and my growing love for carbs has not increased my odds!

Back in the USA

Week 23 of pregnancy and our feet are back on US soil. What an amazing trip and we did alot! Other then a few more rest stops and bathroom breaks then normal baby did fine on his first international trip. Feeling movement now and defiantly getting bigger. Henry got his first pair of lederhosen but the smallest they had were toddler size so he will have to grow into them; I got a traditional dirndl so we can match!

We went from Switzerland to Munich, were there is so much history and stuff to do then down the Romantic Road to Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau castles, the first is the one the Disney castle was modeled after, then to Rothenburg an old mid evil walled in city with some amazing Christmas shops and finally ended up along the Rhine valley which was my favorite part, vineyards and dozens of castles. Driving on the autobahn was a bit scary but John got the hang of it. Being in Europe during the world cup is an experience everyone was soccer.... sorry I mean football crazy was an energy in the air and you could not go anywhere without seeing a TV with it on and hoards of folks gathered around. It really was a trip of a lifetime and I can not believe its over!  For all the mass of photos go to http://picasaweb.google.com/jwelsh5

Munich beer garden...don't worry I only had half :) notice the WC on tv

First German meal: sausages, potatoes, pretzel and beer...John was so happy!

Burg Elez: under some restoration but the most authentic castle we say

Castle we stayed at on the Rhine...was amazing!

Switzerland

Having fun in Europe! Just a quick note to say hi; all is well and we are leaving Switzerland today and off to Germany for the rest of the week. Has been fun and while staying in Zurich went to Lucern, Bern and Mt. Rigi, which is where I am here attempting the alphorn.....its harder then it looks, you dont just blow you have to kinda hum. Saw lots of cows on the mountian sides with bells on and fields of wild flowers, was really a true swiss experience; while it was a bit foggy at the top and did not get the full view was still great. Took a cogwheel train up and a gondela back down. Have had lots of chocolate and done more walking then I have in years!

Off to Munich via train today and more photos in the future when there is a better internet speed then dial up!

One last day!

Biggest event of the year tonight; graduation then its off on a plane to meet John in Zurich tomorrow! Have not quite gotten to the point where I realize the trip is finally here yet but think it will hit me at some point over the Atlantic tomorrow :)

After John is done working this week in Switzerland its off to Germany next week for a tour through Bavaria via the Romantic Road; a few nights in Munich then a mid evil town and a castle before heading back; can't wait!

Week: 20

Had a nice relaxing long weekend full of war movies and trip planing. As of yesterday officially at the half way point! and I think the second half of pregnancy is going to go even faster then the first. We hopefully find out the sex on Thursday afternoon so looking forward to that; place your vote at the right.

Ever heard of a gender party? well I had not and then got the run down as a party in which you have folks over and a cake made to be either pink or blue inside(based on a note from the dr. that was sealed) so once you cut into it you know the gender of your baby; well obviously I am not waiting to get a cake but am going to make cupcakes and invite the girls over so they can find out once they bite in. Should be fun.  I have graduation events all weekend and john leaves Sat. for Zurich so busy short week. Stay tuned......
