Time Flies

I can't believe my baby is 13 weeks old today! Having a kid makes time go by even faster, I have packed up all his newborn and now 3month clothing and see little babies at mommy and me and wounder if Henry was ever really that small :)

We have had a good last few weeks overall. I got stuck with a cold for the better part of a week but luckily no one else at home seems to have caught it. We got a few days off from the rain and got some walks in, went to the mall, babies day at the movies (saw True Grit), and lots of play time. Its so fun now that Henry is smiling and engaging, he just does not take naps during the day. If we are out in the the car we may get a 20min snooze in but thats it, otherwise its go time all day. He is sleeping 5-6 hrs a night now most nights so can not complain, he is also in his crib now so that was a big step, I think more for me then him :)

Grandpa, Grandma and Auntie Visit

We had such a nice long weekend visit with family. Henry got to meet more grandparents and his aunt; and he sure loved them all. We had some adventures around town, tour of Theos chocolates, wine tasting, Pikes place market, the local greenhouse and enjoyed hanging at home with the baby. We ended the weekend with a great dinner of fresh salmon and crab legs from the market, hope to see everyone again soon~

West coast woopies!

Not many folks out here know what a woopie pie is but let me tell you its a treat! They are an east coast thing, basically two soft chocolate cakes with thick vanilla frosting in between. Since I got a cool recipe book about them and the east coast grandparents are flying in tonight for a visit I thought it time to try and make some. There is absolutely nothing healthy about them and once you make them from scratch you really realize that but they taste great and are fun. Mine turned out well, not the best I have had but a good first attempt, there are multiple variations of the recipe so I will try again another time.
