Year in review by Photos!
You are not seeing things this is a new post to this poor old blog, its been over a year and so much has happened. One of my 2013 goals is to get this blog back up and running; when looking back it is such a great documentary of Henrys first year I hope to do the same for William and since he will be here in a matter of weeks I though it would be a good idea to get back into the routine!
2012 was a banner year for our family with so many first and positive changes. Its hard to believe that we started the year out with Henry not even walking yet! He now speaks in sentences has plenty of personality and opinions and RUNS around the house! He is very excited for his baby brother to come and I hope it last. He has had a year of first, steps, cupcakes, words, experiences and fun classes, like swimming, art, music, toddler group and nature hikes to just name a few. He is a big boy off the charts in hight and weight, no really they just put 100% plus down at the dr. office these days, he is not even 2 and a quarter yet and wears 4t cloths! He's in a big boy bed and working on getting the potty thing down these days.
John got a promotion and new role at work; the new role is much more interesting and exciting for him and hes back at the Kirkland office so all good news! The active toddler in his life helped him get motivated to get in shape and he stuck to it all year with trips to the gym and soccer every week.
I have to say I had the most eventful year I have had in a while. In-between caring for Henry everyday I managed to get my Masters finally complete (going to the graduation this year in May) and tried running for the first time. It was a fun and challenging journey H and I did together most days and I completed my first half marathon in August.....10 weeks pregnant! I manage to go to Vegas (pre pregnancy, thank goodness!) and Costa Rica for my best friends wedding in Oct. and we all had a fun summer trip to Maine and 2 ski trips; the first for a wedding in Colorado at the begging of the year then one at the end as a birthday trip to Whistler for John. Henry celebrated his second birthday at a farm park, Oh and we moved! The new house is much brighter, lighter and has more space, all things are growing family needed! Well I think thats it for the breaking the ice post, hope to keep the weekly updates going for myself and friends and family!
Happy New Year! (I can still say that right, I mean my neighbors still have Christmas lights up!) 2013 already looks to be full of adventure!
